Kate's 1st Dentist Appt./Dr. Appt

Kate had her first dentist appt on Monday and she did great. The hygienist took her to the back to get her weight, blood pressure, x-rays and to brush her teeth. I was a little nervous, she wouldn't go without me but she went with the lady and didn't look back. After they finished, she came out excited and with a goodie bag. We then went in to see the dentist, who said Kate's teeth looked good and she didn't see any cavities. She did say they couldn't get all the x-rays taken because Kate kept gagging. I'm just happy, the 1st visit went so well, so when we go back next summer she wont be scared.



Dr. Appt
I had another Dr.'s appt today. I am now 1 1/2 centimeters dilated, my cervix has thinned more and Brody has dropped even more. Best part of the visit was when I got on the scale and the nurse said I hadn't gained any weight. It's exciting knowing I only have 1 more appt. to go to before Brody comes.

Birthday Party

Kate had her birthday party on Saturday and got TONS of gifts!! She enjoyed playing with the kids, eating her Princess cupcake cake and playing with her new toys. Thanks to all of you that came and made her birthday special.

Birthday/Dr. Appt

Today is Kate's 3rd Birthday!!! I cant believe she is already 3-I have to admit, there were some tears shed. Blame it on the hormones-at least that is my excuse. The last 3 years have gone by soooo fast. I feel as if, I closed my eyes and all of a sudden she went from being a newborn to being 3 years old. I'm kinda scared to close them again because when I wake up she will be 15.

Always a lady!


I had my Dr.'s appt today and everything is still on track. I am 1/2 centimeter dilated and my cervix has thinned and softened. The Dr. said she could tell he has dropped alot since last seeing her. I already knew that, b/c it seems with every step I take he is about to fall out.

Pumkin Patch/Shower

Kate and I went to the Pumpkin Patch for the first time on Sat. In all the countries that we have lived in, we have yet to find one. Kate really enjoyed the bouncy balls, scooping corn into buckets, and looking at all the animals. We were able see camels, pigs, ponies, kangaroo's, goats and chickens. I decided not to buy a pumpkin, as the thought of me trying to carve one didn't seem like a good idea. If Justin was here, we definitely would have bought one.






My really good friends, who I use to teach with, threw me a small shower on Sunday. Being that this is my second pregnancy, I didn't expect to have one. Baby Brody, got some really good gifts. He received clothes, bath towels & wash rags, shoes, a picture frame, gift card, toys and his bedding. Thanks girls!! Only 21 more days until we meet our little boy!!!

Dr. Appt.

I went to the Dr. today and everything looked good. I didn't gain any weight-thank god!! With Kate I only gained 26 lbs and that wasn't for lack of trying, I ate everything in sight. With Brody I have already gained 34 lbs and will probably gain at least 5-6 more lbs by the time he is born. Dr. measured my stomach and he is still right on target. She also felt the top, bottom and sides of my stomach and made the comment "you are all baby". Which got me thinking "is he going to be a big baby"? I don't mind having a Pro Football or Basketball player, just not at birth. Between 7 and 8 lbs is okay, anything past 8, just scares me. She also checked my cervix and I haven't began dilating yet. Only 34 more days!!
Since it is just me and Kate at home, its hard to get pictures of the belly. So, I thought I would teach Kate to take pictures. She actually did pretty good.
