Daddy dressed me

This morning, Justin got up with Brody so I could sleep in. He put him in his clothes for the day and gave him his bottle.
This is the outfit he put him in. Looks cute and matches. He actually did a good job.

Or so I thought. I went to change his diaper and saw this.

He didnt put Brody in a T-shirt onesie, he put him in a summer outfit and then put pants on top of that. Funny thing is, Justin thinks there was nothing wrong with the outfit. Brody is so embrassed he doesnt want his face in the picture-haha.

Always the photographer

I am usually the one who takes all the pictures, pictures of Kate and Brody or Justin with Kate and Brody. Reason being, most days I don't have make-up on, so I don't want to be in the pictures. Well, I am just going to have to get over it, because I would rather have pictures with me and the kids without make-up on than no pictures at all.
In the pictures below, I actually have make-up on(gasp!!).

Nosy reader

I will admit, I am a nosy blog reader. I will go to my friends blogs and then go onto their friends and then go onto their friends, I know, I'm nosy(you know you do it to). But doing so, I find alot of great ideas, websites, recipes, etc. While being nosy one day, I came across the Pioneer Woman(her link is under my "friends"). I have really enjoyed reading her blog, stories about her life, how she met her husband and trying out her recipes. She not only gives you step by step instructions but also has pictures with each step-which I love. She also has a cookbook, which I am thinking about buying. I am probably cooking about 4 nights a week and when I say cooking, I mean from scratch cooking. I cant just go to the frozen aisle and pick things up here and pop them in the oven. I really wish it was that easy. Because of that, I am really glad I came across The Pioneer Woman and her great recipes. If you get a chance, be nosy and check it out.

Free at last

As of Thursday we quit swaddling Brody. I was a little scared at first because I kept thinking he would wake himself up at night, but he hasn't. During his afternoon nap, he has woken up a couple times but it hasn't been as bad as I thought. Poor Kate, we swaddled her until she was 6 months old. I know, what were we thinking? We didn't know any better, we were first time parents. Everything had to be sterilized with Kate, bottles, pacifiers, etc. Not the same for Brody, pacifier falls on the floor, pick it up, wipe it off and give it back to him. We are so much more relaxed with Brody except when it comes to his schedule. I'm a Nazi mom when it comes to keeping them on schedule. Kate was and still is on a schedule and it makes things alot easier.

Kate's new do

Kate has gorgeous curly hair-sometimes, and other times it is just plain CRAZY!! Lately she has been letting me french braid it, which is great because it stays out of her face. The only problem is, I keep hearing "ouch", "your hurting me", "mommmmmmmy". So, with all her dramatics, its hard to actually make the braid tight. Every time I braid her hair, Justin says she looks like a little Amish girl. What does he know, he cant even put her hair in a ponytail. Several people have asked if I have ever cut her hair/when am I going to cut it. Kate has never had a haircut, I just cant bring myself to do it. I'm afraid if she gets it cut then her curls will be gone forever. I will say, everytime I wash her hair, it makes me think about cutting it. I will let Kate decide when she wants to cut it, that way she cant be mad at me for making her cut it :).

We have a roller

Brody rolled over yesterday(back to tummy)which surprised me. He has been trying for about a week but I seriously thought he wouldn't roll over until he was closer to 4 months. He doesn't like to be put down for very long. He loves to be held, which is why I thought it would be a little longer before he rolled over. There goes the days of putting him down to do something and he being in the same spot when I return.

I was trying to nurse Brody when he passed out.

3 months

Say it isn't so?!?! I cant believe Brody is 3 months already. Time is going way too fast. He is such a good baby. Last night he sleep from 8:15 to 7 this morning, and I actually went and got him up to eat. His schedule is pretty much the same everyday, he takes a couple 30 minutes naps in the morning and then takes a 2-2 1/2 hour nap in the afternoon and is in bed by 8:15-8:30. He can hold his head up and is trying to roll over, he gets on his side but then gets stuck. He gave Justin and I a little giggle on Friday, which totally made our day and made us laugh.

We had another big snowfall on Friday. We went to sleep Thursday night with light rain and woke up to a ton of snow and no electricity. The power didn't come back on until late Friday night. School and work were closed, which gave Justin a 3 day weekend, which I loved. Justin and Kate played outside all day Friday and Saturday and am pretty sure will be out there today as well.

Kate doesnt have snow goggles, so Justin put swim goggles on her. They worked the same
