Easter

Kate and Brody had two Easter egg hunts to go to this year. The first one was our block hunt. Kate did great, didn't need any help from me which was nice because I was able to help Brody. The second hunt was at the golf course where Justin is a member of. As we were walking up to the start line, they blew the whistle so Kate wasn't able to get as many as she would have liked. The also had a petting zoo that we were able to go inside and pet some of the animals.

4 1/2 years old

Today Kate is 4 1/2. So hard to believe she will be 5 in six short months. She wont attend Kindergarten this fall because her birthday is in October. We planned for Kate and Brody to have fall birthdays, so that they will be one of the older ones in their class. Kate is doing good in school, learning sight words and still taking Spanish and Mandarin. She is doing great in swimming and I cant wait for the pool to open so she can practice everyday. She is a great little helper, always helping me pick up things and getting me diapers for Brody. She is also a GREAT big sister and really understanding(for the most part)when Brody's takes toys from her.

Kate posing in her new swimsuit. I think she is confused on what lesson she had that day.

Give me strength..

to get through the terrible two's. Brody is not even two yet and has started throwing fits. This behavior is new to me as Kate never went through it. Justin is constantly telling me Brody isn't Kate. I don't know what to do with him. I keep reminding myself its a phase and he will grow out of it. I am "that parent" whose kid is crying on the way out of the grocery store, usually I have him in a football hold while walking as fast as I can out of the store. The last two nights he has refused to eat dinner, food that he actually likes. If he cant get his shoes on correctly or put his toy cups in the correct order he starts whining and then starts crying. He literally cried for 30 minutes one day before I finally picked him up and put him in his bed. I made him stay in there for about 15 minutes, so that we both could calm down.
God-give me strength!!!!!

17 months

Brody is 17 months today and is a crazy, wild little boy!! He is very much in the whiny stage which drives me crazy at times. He says the same sentence but changes the last word. I want that, I want milk, I want cartoons, I want eat, etc. He loves Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and dancing. Whenever he hears music he starts bouncing and marching. He is very much a mama's boy which I LOVE!!
