Justin and I decided to put Brody in school three days a week so that he can play and be around other kids. He will be going to the same school as Kate which makes me feel better about sending him. I had originally signed him up to go two days but Justin suggested 3 since he has every other Friday off, which means we can have day dates.

21 months
Three more months and Brody will be 2!! How did that happen?!? He loves to say Daddeeee and Mommeeee. Even when we answer him he continues to say it. He continues to be a great eater, loves guacamole and chips. I have become a closet eater whenever I am around him because whenever he see me with food, he wants it, even if he just finished eating. The kid can eat. He is still going to swimming lessons every week and doing a great job even though now he doesn't like going to Ms. Lindsay the instructor. The first month he went to her with no problem and now all of a sudden he starts to cry and gets a pouty face. Hopefully his resistance to her wont be for much longer.

Busy Month
The last 3 weeks have been super busy. The first of the three weekends a friend and I went on a girls trip to Austin. We had a blast!! We day drank, shopped, relaxed, ate at some really good restaurants and even went to 6th street. Yes, we tried to act like we were 21 again. It will definitely become a yearly trip. The second weekend, we met Justin's mom halfway to drop the kids off for a four day stay. A second weekend in a row with no kids-I didn't know what to do with myself. Justin and I went to 2 movies, slept in, shopped, went out two nights in a row and just relaxed. It was nice!! The third weekend, Justin's mom and step dad came up to visit and we just hung out at the house.
The kids and I are now trying to get over sore throats and a running nose.

20 months
Brody has added some new words to his vocabulary, he now says uh huh, yeah, mmhhmm, and no. He loves to say no but doesn't like hearing it very much. He loves coloring with Kate and has started copying everything she does. One day Kate jumped from the couch to the ottoman and sure enough Brody tried the same. Needless to say he didn't make it. He is becoming more and more independent and gets easily frustrated when he cant do something. He is a great eater and loves pretty much everything we give him. I try to give him at least a fruit or vegetable at every meal, hoping it will keep him in the routine of eating them.

1,2, 3..
Bubbles...., that's what I say before dunking Brody in the water. When he hears "bubbles" he is suppose to close his mouth and hold his breath. For the most part he does, there are a couple times he goes under with his mouth open. He just finished his first month of swim lessons and was promoted to the next level which we will start next month. I hope he continues to like and excel in the water.

Kate facts
I thought it would be cute to do some fun facts about Kate.
-Can count to 23 in Mandarin
-Hates all fruits, except for when they are mixed in things, i.e smoothie or banana muffins
-Has never drank juice.
-Has slept with the same blanket since she was born.
-Will only eat vegetables if they are in chicken pot pie.
-Has an imaginary friend named Kimah.
-Has more stamps in her passport than most people we know.
-Loves to play golf.
-At night she has to have her night light on and closet door shut.
-Loves school
-Wants to be a Doctor when she grows up.
I can wait to see how many of these change and/or stay the same in the upcoming months/years.

19 Months
Another month has come and go so quickly once again. Brody started swim lessons on Monday and did really good. Its a mommy and me class so I am in the water with him. He practiced kicking, blowing bubbles and going under the water. Every time he comes up from being under he has the wide eyed, what just happened look on his face. We have also been practicing at the pool. He is such a good eater, LOVES fruit and I try to give him different kinds everyday so that hopefully he will continue to like them. His two favorite cartoons are Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and The Backyardigans. Whenever Mickey comes on he says "Muh Muh" and will hum the Backyardigans song. He is obsessed with the iPad, Justin downloaded Sesame Street for him to watch one day and now all he wants to do is watch things on it. One of my favorite moments each day is when I get Brody up from nap and he is still a little tired, he will lay his head on my shoulder. Sometimes its just for a few seconds other times a few minutes, it melts my heart each time.
These were the best pictures I could get as he wont stay still long enough.

Pool
Every since Memorial weekend we have gone to the pool everyday. Kate loves swimming and playing while Brody tolerates it. A couple days this week, I dropped Brody off at the child care center at the gym while Kate and I went to the pool. The gym pool is alot more kid friendly than our neighborhood one. It has a huge beach entrance and deep enough for Kate to play and swim without me having to worry she will wonder to the deep end. It also has two huge water slides and was surprised when Kate wanted to go down them. I was more nervous than she was going down them. I thought she would chicken out at the top but she didn't, I also thought she would come out crying but she didn't, she just wanted to go again. So happy school is out so that we can spend our days having fun by the pool.
