Field Trip
Kate went on her first field trip and she was so excited, her favorite part was riding the school bus. Every time we pass a bus she always says,"I cant wait to ride on a school bus". Lets see if she feels the same way in Jr. High. Her class went to the donut shop that is walking distance from her school and then went to the park and had a picnic. I cant believe my baby is old enough to go on field trips and the sad part is, this is just the beginning!

Dress Up
Kate loves to play dress and so does Brody. As soon as we go into the play room, Brody grabs a pair of princess shoes, a skirt, wings and a wand. It is hilarious watching him put Kate's play clothes on. Of course, I have taken a ton of black mail pictures for later on. :)

18 months
Brody is now 18 months, I cant believe in six short months he will be 2. Father time needs to slow down! Brody is now into the climbing stage-beds, chairs, couches, window seals, etc. I just know there is an accident waiting to happen. He loves dancing, whenever music comes on he grabs Kate's hands so she will dance with him. He is now down to one nap a day, I stopped his morning nap a couple of days ago. He knows all of his body parts but will only do them for me which is pretty funny, I had to video him doing it so Justin would believe me. I love when Brody says "seester(sister)", "tank you" and "hot dog", it is just so cute. I have started taking snacks to the store with me to keep him occupied while I try and get everything. So far it seems to be working.
Climbed onto the window seal

The chilly weather confused him

Cant turn around for 1 second(yes, that is lipstick!)

1st Haircut
I took Kate to get her very first hair cut on Friday. I think I was more nervous than she was. I felt like it was my hair they were cutting. When Kate's hair is wet it is past her booty, when it is dry it is almost to her waist. The girl has some serious hair. Combing it after baths were a nightmare, no matter how much conditioner we put in, she still ended up with tangles. So, we decided it was time to have it cut. She got about 6 inches cut off and it looks better. She also still has her curls which I am happy about. I was worried when they cut them they would be gone forever-but nope she has her daddy's curly hair.

Easter
Kate and Brody had two Easter egg hunts to go to this year. The first one was our block hunt. Kate did great, didn't need any help from me which was nice because I was able to help Brody. The second hunt was at the golf course where Justin is a member of. As we were walking up to the start line, they blew the whistle so Kate wasn't able to get as many as she would have liked. The also had a petting zoo that we were able to go inside and pet some of the animals.

4 1/2 years old
Today Kate is 4 1/2. So hard to believe she will be 5 in six short months. She wont attend Kindergarten this fall because her birthday is in October. We planned for Kate and Brody to have fall birthdays, so that they will be one of the older ones in their class. Kate is doing good in school, learning sight words and still taking Spanish and Mandarin. She is doing great in swimming and I cant wait for the pool to open so she can practice everyday. She is a great little helper, always helping me pick up things and getting me diapers for Brody. She is also a GREAT big sister and really understanding(for the most part)when Brody's takes toys from her.

Give me strength..
to get through the terrible two's. Brody is not even two yet and has started throwing fits. This behavior is new to me as Kate never went through it. Justin is constantly telling me Brody isn't Kate. I don't know what to do with him. I keep reminding myself its a phase and he will grow out of it. I am "that parent" whose kid is crying on the way out of the grocery store, usually I have him in a football hold while walking as fast as I can out of the store. The last two nights he has refused to eat dinner, food that he actually likes. If he cant get his shoes on correctly or put his toy cups in the correct order he starts whining and then starts crying. He literally cried for 30 minutes one day before I finally picked him up and put him in his bed. I made him stay in there for about 15 minutes, so that we both could calm down.
God-give me strength!!!!!
