Justin decided he wanted to run the Green 6.2 again this year. Yes, it is the same race in which he had his accident exactly a year prior. I was very hesitant at first but he asked several friends to run it with him which made me feel a little better. We all meet up and got in line for the race and I made sure to run with my phone this time. We all had a good time running/walking it and I was very excited when we all finished.

Tubes and Adenoid's removed
Brody never really got ear infections very often but all of a sudden he was getting them all the time. He had 5 within 3 months! I finally asked his Pediatrician for a referral. I made an appointment with the ENT to have his ears looked at. The doctor was very surprised he didn't have a speech delay or impediment as his ears were filled with fluid and he didn't do very well on his hearing test. She recommended that he get tubes and his adenoids removed and I agreed. His surgery was scheduled for 7 but we needed to be there by 6:15 for pre-op. Since he was getting his adenoids removed they had to put him under anesthesia. The surgery took less than 20 minutes. Brody was NOT a happy camper when he woke up though. He was crying and saying his throat hurt so they gave him some pain medicine in his IV which made him go to sleep for about 10 minutes. When he woke up again, he was a little better but still said his throat hurt. Once we got home he laid on the couch for about an hour and then was totally fine, like nothing had ever happened. Hopefully, getting the tubes will keep the ear infections away!

Easter
Easter morning started with cinnamon rolls and Kate and Brody going through their Easter baskets to see what the Easter Bunny left them. After playing with their gifts we got ready and went to church. After church we went to our neighbors for a little Easter egg hunt where the kids loaded up on candy. After nap, we went over to our friends house to swim and to have another Easter egg hunt. Once again Kate and Brody got alot of candy in their eggs.

Spring Break
My dad watched the kids for 4 days during Spring Break so that Justin and I could take a trip and celebrate our anniversary. The kids love going to Grandpa's. He sets up a tent in the living room where they "camp out" every night, they go fishing, to the playground and eat everything that I don't let them have. Very thankful that my dad never hesitates to watch the kids for us.

Mutton Bustin
Justin was planning on taking Kate and Brody to the Rodeo on Friday but Brody woke up Thursday night throwing up so he stayed home with me. Justin and Kate had a great time. He bribed her with a Hello Kitty doll if she would ride the sheep. Justin was certain she would back out of it but she didn't. Not only did she ride the sheep but also got 1st place. Justin was so proud of her. She won a belt buckle and a ribbon. Funniest part was she didn't even care about the belt bucket, she thought the ribbon was better.

Deer Lease
Justin and some friends have a deer lease outside of Sealy and the kids love going. They think it is the best place ever. They get to stay up late, ride the 4-wheeler, get dirty and Justin even lets them shoot the gun. What 3 and 6 year old wouldn't love going? Another plus is he takes them on the weekends while I stay home and get a ton of stuff done.

100th day
Kate celebrated the 100th day of school today. Each grade had a project they had to do and Kinder's was to decorate a shirt with a 100 items on it. We worked on the shirt a little each night and Kate picked everything she wanted on it. If we have to do another project similar to this one, I will definitely make sure I put cardboard inside the shirt. There were several spots that stuck together and I had to tear them apart. After school, Kate and I went to Starbucks for a Mommy and Me date.
