Sitting up
Brody is now sitting up without any help. He goes from his tummy to crawling position to sitting all by himself. I bet he starts crawling within the next 2 weeks.

We're MOVING!!
Yes, we are on the move again. This time we are moving to our old stomping grounds. We are moving back home, and I am beyond excited. We have known for about a month but Justin wanted to keep it under wraps until it became official. We thought we wouldn't be back until the end of the year or beginning of next, so this is an early surprise. We will stay in our house in The Woodlands until we find one we like in Katy. BP offices are located in Katy and the commute is too long for Justin to drive everyday. I'm a little bummed about having to move to Katy as I love The Woodlands, the mall, Market Street plus I know where everything is. Hopefully, once we move and get to know Katy, I will like it just as much.
My official move back day is May 31st, Justin wont be back for good until the middle of August.
The countdown has begun!!

Ladybugs, Party & an iPhone
Kate and I were going through her closet getting rid of alot of old clothes and hanging up her summer clothes, when she saw a ladybug dress that Justin's mom had gotten her last summer. The dress was too big at the time but fits her perfectly now. She asked if she could wear the ladybug dress to school tomorrow and I told her yes. The next morning, she was so excited to wear the dress, that she kept saying she wasn't going to play outside because she didn't want to get it dirty. She also showed me the proper way to sit when you wear dresses. It was too cute.
That afternoon, we went to a birthday party for one of her school friends. They had a lady doing face painting and I asked Kate if she wanted to get her face painted. She said, no. Let me give you a little background information on my OCD child. She HATES to get her face/clothes/hands/feet wet(except for bath time). Has a complete fit. If her top gets a little, tiny bit wet, she wants to change clothes. At school if they are doing an activity with shaving cream, she will not participate. Justin blames me for her OCD, and I will accept part of the blame. I am always telling her, don't get dirty, stay clean. I just cant stand dirtiness and now that I have a boy it is inevitable. Okay, back to the story. I asked Kate if she wanted to get something painted on her hand. After a pause she said, yes. Kate sat down in the chair and told the lady that she wanted a ladybug on her hand. I guess she didn't hear her and started painting one on her face. I held my breath, and waited for the meltdown. After a couple of minutes, she looked at me with tears in her eyes and said "I don't want it on my face, I want it on my hand." I told her she could have both, one on her face and one on her hand to match her pretty dress. To my surprise she accepted that answer. The party also had bubble guys, they would do tricks with bubbles and then put a kid in the bubble. Kate had been to a party before, that had the same guys but didn't want anything to do with them. Today, she was mesmerized by then. She even volunteered to be in the bubble. So, she got on the platform and the guys pulled a balloon over her. While in the bubble, the men told her to squat down, so she did. As she went to squat, she pulled her dress all the way up, so it wouldnt get dirty. Everyone at the party got to see her Snow White panties. It was too funny and I wish I had taken a picture of it.

Oh, the iPhone. Justin has created a monster with his iPhone. He downloaded some games for Kate to play and now all she wasnt to do is play on his phone. As soon as he gets home, she says "can I play games." The sad thing is, she knows how to work the phone better than I do.

Mother's Day
I had a great Mother's Day. Justin let me sleep in, he made me french toast, did the dishes and just let me relax pretty much all day.
I am very grateful to have a loving husband and two wonderful kids.

Happy Half Birthday
Brody turned 6 months today and just keeps getting cuter and cuter. He is such a good, happy baby. He has been sleeping through the night but the last couple of nights he has woken up several times. I think he may be teething again. The one person who can make him laugh the hardest and at any time is Kate. He loves his big sister and her hair, any chance he gets, he tries to pull it. He pretty much puts anything and everything into his mouth and drools like crazy. He loves going outside and now that the weather has finally warmed up, I put him either in the baby backpack or stroller and we walk and get Kate from school. So far, he likes sweet potatoes, squash and carrots. He wasn't to sure on the peas but ate most of them, we will start green beans tomorrow.

Fashionista
Kate has become quite the fashionista. Every night before bed she picks out her clothes for the following day. It saves time and meltdowns in the morning if she knows what she is wearing. Justin and I can not pick out her clothes, SHE has to. If we tell her it doesn't match, she will come up with some way to justify the outfit.
Example #1
Me- "Kate, what are you going to wear tomorrow?"
Kate-"My blue striped dress and striped tights."
Me- "Are you sure, it doesn't really match."
Kate "Yes it does. My dress has strips and my tights have strips."
Me- "Okay, what shoes are you going to wear?"
Kate- "My blue crocs, they match my blue dress."

Example #2
Me-"What are you going to wear tomorrow?"
Kate-"My pink dress and blue tights."
Me- "Huh?!?" "How about your white tights."
Kate- "No, I want to wear my blue tights."
Me- "But, it doesn't match."
Kate- "That's okay, I don't want to match."

Now, I know how my parents must have felt when I walked out of the house wearing, socks with jellies, MC Hammer pants or overalls with 1 strap.

Sweet Potatoe's...
are yummy!! We gave Brody baby food for the first time on Saturday and he loved it. I thought he would eat a couple spoons full and be done but instead he ate a whole container for lunch and for dinner. Lately, Brody hasn't been finishing his bottles, I would make a 6oz bottle and he would only eat 3 or 4 oz. So now, he is eating every 4 hours instead of 3 and finishing almost all of the bottle.

I went to the kitchen to make Kate dinner and when I came back, this is what I saw. She decided to read and play during nap time instead of sleep.
